Date and Chocolate Truffles
Love without refined sugar is just as sweet. 💕 These naturally sweetened date and chocolate bliss balls made with rolled oats, nuts, rosewater and cardamom are on my mind for Valentine’s Day. They make great edible gifts too.

Date and Chocolate Truffles
(Makes about 16)
Ingredients
1/2 cup raw almonds
1/2 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup (gluten-free) rolled oats
3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 -1 tsp ground cardamom (add more or less according to your preference)
1 tbsp rosewater
10-12 soft, pitted medjool dates
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Method
Pulse the nuts in a food processor a few times. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse (scraping down the sides and stirring a few times in between) until the dates are puréed and the mixture comes together.
Refrigerate the mixture for half an hour or until firm, then form into bite-sized balls.
Roll the balls in cocoa powder and enjoy.
Store these truffles refrigerated in an airtight container.
