Spiced Apple Tea

Been waking up to some chilly mornings lately and I've been sipping on this soothing fruity infusion.

Recipe

Spiced Apple Tea

To make, boil about 2 cups of water in a saucepan along with 1 medium-sized chopped apple, 1/2" cinnamon stick, 1 clove, a small piece of star anise, a little freshly grated ginger and 2-3 peppercorns.

Cover and simmer until the apples are soft, then add your favorite tea bag to the pan, turn off the heat and let it steep for a few minutes.

Next, squeeze some lime into the tea, strain (don't squeeze the apples or the tea will turn murky) and discard the tea bag, apple and spices.

Sweeten to taste (I skip this) and enjoy.
